We're proud to share that Janspeed has been recognised in EVO Magazine, with multiple mentions highlighting our upgraded exhaust system for the Lotus Elise S1.
The online Lotus Elise S1 Buying Guide calls out the performance and sound gains of our stainless steel system, while Aftermarket Exhausts Explained puts our decades of engineering experience front and centre.
From the EVO Buying Guide:
“UK firm Janspeed supplied a sports exhaust option for the S1 in period, and today offers an upgraded 4-2-1 manifold, link pipe, sports cat and back-box in stainless steel. Combined, these elements unlock a much rortier and exciting note from the K-series without being boomy or unnecessarily loud... The extra edge and harder bark from the engine make every drive that bit more exciting.” (Link here)
From the Fast Fleet Back-to-Back Test:
“The Elise isn’t a car that draws attention to itself and I wanted it to stay that way... On start-up the exhaust now has a deeper, more purposeful but still cultured tone... At 7200rpm it sounds fierce, with a much fuller note that hardens into an addictive blare at the top end. Yet the exhaust doesn’t drown out the old-school burble and intake noise... rather it just amplifies its voice.”
“Even a gentle rev match feels noticeably crisper than before... the engine sounding and feeling angrier has made every drive that bit more exciting.” (Link here)
EVO on Janspeed's Legacy:
“UK firm Janspeed began developing aftermarket systems for Minis in the ’60s... and now counts Bentley, Aston Martin, and Lotus among its OEM partners.”
We engineer every system to deliver performance with purpose - balancing gas flow, power delivery, and sound character with stainless steel durability built to last. No boom, no drone. Just a clean, mature tone that brings out the best in your car.
Big thanks to EVO for the feature. The print review is coming soon - we’ll update once it’s live.
