We are looking for a Junior qualified engineer for our Salisbury location.

• Ideally educated to HND or Degree level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods (incl. Sheet-metal Fabrication, Welding, Metal Pressing, Tube manipulation, Robotics, Automation, Validation/Vision systems)
• Strong CATIA V5, MS Project & Excel skills
Have a sound understanding of Jig & Fixture strategies
• Achievement orientated with excellent communication, motivation and people management skills
• Prepared to travel on occasion
• Knowledge of Exhaust Systems, Lean Manufacturing and Automotive standards is also desirable, but not essential.

Reporting to the Managing Director/Works Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of all Design & Development activities, from concept through to production. Your duties will include:

• Jig & Tooling design and specification
• Gauge & Validation system specification
• Ensuring work undertaken is feasible and designed for manufacture
• Ensuring best practice manufacturing methods are used both internally and externally
• Check DFM, prototype builds, volume ramp up and plant production processes are fully supported
• Conduct regular engineering reviews to ensure project milestone adherence.
